GetSpaced Privacy Policy

GetSpaced is an iOS app that helps you quit habits using a recurrence engine that spaces reminders further apart over time. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and how to delete it.

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to make the app work:

• Email address — when you create an account or sign in. Used to authenticate you and to send password-reset / magic-link emails.
• Habit data you enter — the habits you're tracking (names, cadence settings) and the events you log against them (timestamps, allowance choices). Habit names are stored as plain text on our servers (see Where your data lives).
• Authentication tokens — stored locally in the iOS Keychain by the Supabase SDK so you stay signed in between launches.

What we do not collect

• No analytics or telemetry SDKs.
• No advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no SKAdNetwork tracking).
• No location data.
• No contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data.
• No tracking of your activity in other apps or on the web.

How we use your data

We use it to:

• Sign you in and keep your session active.
• Sync your habits across devices and restore them after reinstalling.
• Send the recurring local notifications that are the core of the app (these are scheduled on your device; they don't go through our servers).

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond providing the service.

Where your data lives

• On your device: a SwiftData store, protected by iOS Data Protection (encrypted at rest while the device is locked).
• On our servers: Supabase, a hosted Postgres provider running on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
• Row-Level Security: every row in our database is scoped to the user who created it. You can only read and write your own data.

Your habit names and event data are stored unencrypted (plain text) in our database. They're protected in transit (TLS) and at rest by the hosting provider, and isolated to your account by Row-Level Security — but they are not end-to-end encrypted, so they're readable by the service. The in-app "private" toggle only masks a habit's name in the app's own screens and notifications on your device; it does not encrypt or hide the name on our servers. Don't put anything in a habit name you wouldn't want stored this way.

Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services to operate GetSpaced:

• Supabase, Inc. — authentication and database hosting. Privacy policy.
• Google — if you sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and shares your email address with us. Google's privacy policy applies to that exchange.
• Apple — if you sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and returns an identity token. Apple's privacy policy applies to that exchange.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and habit data until you ask us to delete it (or delete your account). There's no automatic expiration.

How to delete your data

You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent — it erases your authentication record and every habit and event you've stored, on this device and on our servers, with no recovery.

If you can't sign in, email bronson.p.thomas@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll delete everything for you. We aim to do this within seven days.

Children

GetSpaced is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and publish the new version at the same URL.
